13-Year-Old Arrested Following Friday-Morning Bomb Threat Made to Buddy Taylor Middle School

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has made an arrest following an investigation into a bomb threat made towards Buddy Taylor Middle School (BTMS) on Friday, May 17. At approximately 10:47 a.m., a front desk attendant at BTMS received a phone call from a male stating that, “the school will be blown up at 11.” A school lockdown was initiated at 10:48 a.m. and 19 FCSO deputies responded. Buddy Taylor Middle School's SeaPerch program participants had their first win in Jacksonville, taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. We were able to talk with Tracy Jones who told us about the program, and it's significance for students. What is underwater robotics, how many students participate and what are the goals of this program? Seaperch is an aquatic remote operated vehicle (ROV). Flagler Palm Coast High School Parking Lot Construction Damages Water Pipe; No Drinkable On-site Water

As of now, the water line at FPC High School is currently damaged due to construction; it is anticipated that the damages will be repaired and water will be restored by March 29th. During the construction of the FPC parking lot, a water line was broken temporarily resulting in non-drinkable water on campus. We are prepared to have bottled water available for students and staff. If possible, please send your student with an extra bottle of water. We anticipate this will be in effect through Friday, March 29. Until then, water fountains on campus will be off limits.
