Palm Coast Man Arrested for Residential Bomb Explosion

 Last night on May 9 at approximately 10 p.m., the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Palm Coast man at his residence on Bronson Lane. He is accused of creating a pipe bomb that exploded outside a home on Poppy Lane in January 2022. On Wednesday, May 8, Sheriff Rick Staly unveiled a memorial in honor of Sheriff Perry Hall outside the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. The jail, previously named the Flagler County Inmate Facility, was renamed after Sheriff Hall in 2018. The new memorial, consisting of a memorial garden accompanied by a historical marker describing the sheriff’s life and death, commemorates Sheriff Hall’s legacy and sacrifice serving his community. On Wednesday, May 1, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Palm Coast man after video evidence surfaced of him abusing his 91-year-old grandfather. The victim and his wife reside in the Palm Coast’s W-section with his grandson, Brandon Valentine, 41. On April 14, deputies responded to the residence after receiving a report that Valentine had struck his grandfather. An Ormond Beach woman now faces multiple charges after she broke into her ex-husband’s home in Bunnell in the early morning hours of Friday, April 26. Just after 2:40 a.m. the suspect, Melinda Gould, 40, a resident of Ormond Beach called 9-1-1 to request a wellness check on her ex-husband’s home in Bunnell.
