Yesterday, November 23rd, 2023, was the tenth year that Jearlyn Ministries has spent delivering Thanksgiving meals to people in and around Flagler County. Ten years ago Pastor J started delivering meals to those in Flagler County who normally wouldn't have a holiday meal, like elderly neighbors who don't have family in the area. Since starting this ten years ago, Pastor J and those who work with her now provide meals to 175 families in the area. From the Flagler County Sheriff's Office: Over the weekend, Deputy Manka observed a man lying on his back on the sidewalk along US-1 and stopped to conduct a welfare check. Shortly after, Deputy First Class Jenkins arrived to assist. During the check, they learned that the man and his wife had not eaten in two days. The man had been attempting to walk to Publix to get food, but appeared to be confused and sick from lack of food and water, and was unable to make it to the store.
