Flagler County Sheriff’s Round Up for May 3rd-5th

Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies made 9 arrests this past weekend between 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, and 6 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024. They handled 540 calls for service and made 99 traffic stops. “It was a relatively calm weekend considering the Cinco De Mayo holiday on Sunday,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “I’m glad our residents and visitors celebrated safely and wisely. Flagler Beach Shooting Investigation (Update) – South Flagler Avenue

On Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 6:38 p.m. Officers from the Flagler Beach Police Department along with Deputies from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident that occurred just blocks away from the Flagler Beach Police Department. One (1) male victim, eighteen (18) years of age, was transported, via ambulance, to a local hospital. The victim’s injuries at this time do not appear to be life threatening. Flagler County officials inform residents Army Corps awarded contract for its Coastal Storm Risk Management Beach Nourishment project

FDOT to attend February 2 ‘First Friday’ with project details for buried seawall to protect A1A

 The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announced it will attend First Friday in Flagler Beach on February 2 to provide information about construction of a buried seawall expected to begin in February.
