13-Year-Old Arrested Following Friday-Morning Bomb Threat Made to Buddy Taylor Middle School

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) has made an arrest following an investigation into a bomb threat made towards Buddy Taylor Middle School (BTMS) on Friday, May 17. At approximately 10:47 a.m., a front desk attendant at BTMS received a phone call from a male stating that, “the school will be blown up at 11.” A school lockdown was initiated at 10:48 a.m. and 19 FCSO deputies responded. This morning, May 17, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), along with the Problem Area Crime Enforcement (PACE) team and the SWAT team, served a search warrant at 24-A Pine Hurst Lane in Palm Coast. This search warrant was the culmination of a more than two-month-long investigation into Rondal Gibson, 35, resulting from complaints of possible drug dealing at his residence.
