Seniors Helping Seniors is an organization that spans the globe, and has 260 locations. The organization hires able bodied mature adults to take the role of care giver for seniors who need assistance. Flagler County's financial rating continues to improve, which is reflective of an improving economic climate and a stronger financial position in the county. The county received word on April 5 that Standard & Poor's Rating Services boosted the county's rating from AA to AA+ for its general obligation rating and from AA to AA+ for its non-ad valorem debt rating. During a hearing on April 2, 2024, Donald Andrew Sharp, 23, was sentenced to six life terms for crimes he committed against two underage children in 2022. He will also be declared a sexual predator.  On Thursday night just after 11 p.m., Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies and uniformed detectives with FCSO’s PACE Unit responded to a residence in Palm Coast’s W-section after neighbors reported hearing screams and a gunshot. After Master Deputy Malta and Detective Dalrymple arrived on scene, they heard another gunshot but could not determine the direction it was fired or if it was shot at them.
