On the afternoon of Monday, May 20, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies rescued a 1-year-old child that was locked inside a vehicle with the engine off and all windows closed.   At approximately 5:05 p.m., the FCSO Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call from a woman reporting that her daughter had accidentally been locked inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart in Palm Coast. FCSO SWAT Snipers Finish in Top 10 at National Sniper Competition for Third Straight Year

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) SWAT sniper team placed ninth out of 45 teams at the annual Snipercraft Challenge. This is the third year in a row that FCSO’s SWAT snipers have placed in the top 10. The annual competition tests sniper teams’ judgement, teamwork, tactics, and shooting under induced stress. This year, competitors included snipers from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies across the country, as well as entrants from law enforcement agencies in Brazil and Canada. This morning, May 17, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), along with the Problem Area Crime Enforcement (PACE) team and the SWAT team, served a search warrant at 24-A Pine Hurst Lane in Palm Coast. This search warrant was the culmination of a more than two-month-long investigation into Rondal Gibson, 35, resulting from complaints of possible drug dealing at his residence.
