Stormi is a newer addition to the SMART family, one who has suffered terribly with medical issues due to being dumped in a rural area and left to fend for herself. Stormi was diagnosed with demodectic mange, secondary skin infections, ear infections, open bleeding wounds from itching, roundworms, hookworms, and fluid in her abdomen and lungs. Despite these horrible conditions and being dumped, this pup is incredibly full of love. Meet Nelly, a sweet dog who was brought to a vet office for euthanasia due to severe skin issues and a mass on her back. The Shores Animal Hospital chose to reach out to SMART before euthanizing, to see if this dog could be helped. Since SMART has become involved, Nelly is now receiving treatment for her skin, and working towards a surgery to remove the mass on her back.
