The City of Palm Coast proudly invites all residents to the 2024 Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27th, at 8:00 AM, at the Palm Coast Heroes Memorial Park, located at 2860 Palm Coast Parkway. This event is dedicated to remembering and honoring the men and women who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country.

The ceremony will feature several presentations commemorating this important day. Mayor David Alfin will open the event with remarks that underscore the significance of Memorial Day and the importance of honoring our military heroes. The Palm Coast Fire Department Honor Guard, Matanzas High School Junior ROTC, and Marine Corps League Detachment 876 will conduct ceremonial duties. Additionally, the Community Chorus of Palm Coast will perform patriotic songs, contributing to the solemn mood of the event.

A highlight of the ceremony will be the presentation of numerous community groups’ wreaths, demonstrating the community’s collective respect and remembrance for the occasion. Participating groups include:

  • American Legion Post 115
  • AMVETS Post 113
  • Disabled American Veterans Post 86
  • Jewish War Veterans Post 300

Special recognition will also be given to the families of fallen soldiers, particularly the Palm Coast Gold Star Families, honoring their significant sacrifices. At the ceremony’s close, we extend a heartfelt invitation to join in the inaugural Honor Walk encircling Heroes Park. This solemn occasion commemorates the profound sacrifices made by those who have served. Attendees are encouraged to reflect, pray, and honor their memory by leaving a flower at monuments honoring America’s heroes.

The City of Palm Coast is eager to share this day of reflection, remembrance, and community solidarity, focusing on our shared values of freedom, sacrifice, and patriotism. Please join us in this meaningful observance.
