Guitars 4 Vets is a national organization, that just had a Flagler County Chapter open up. Earl Presley, a veteran himself, stepped up to see a chapter open up here in Palm Coast. Today, May 29th, 2023, for Memorial Day, the City of Palm Coast hosted a Memorial Ceremony to honor the fallen soldiers, firefighters, and law enforcement.  The ceremony was attended by Sheriff Staly, the Palm Coast Fire Chief, Leann Pennington, Ed Danko, Gold Star Families, and many more.  The community came out to honor the memory of the fallen. The Ceremony was intended to remind the community that today is a day of remembrance, to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Abandoned Dogs Found By SMART Foundation: Happy Ending in Progress

Earlier this year, two dogs were abandoned overnight near SR-100 and the Hospital. Due to the heavy traffic in the area, it was a dangerous place. Two individuals found the dogs, and SMART was able to prove the two dogs were from the same family, as evidenced by their happy reunion the next morning. They were both vetted completely and placed with a foster family. On April 6th, 2023, a young man named Dante, who owns and runs a tree trimming company in our area, was electrocuted while on the job trimming trees. He was severely burned and is unable to work. His brother Corey, who also works with him was also severely injured, when he fell out of a tree and broke his ankle following the incident with his brother.
