FEMA extends deadline into January for Flagler County Hurricane Ian survivors to apply for federal disaster assistance

November 22, 2022 – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has extended the deadline until January 12 for Hurricane Ian survivors who suffered damage to their properties to apply for federal disaster assistance. “This is good news because we all know the holidays get hectic under the best of circumstances. FEMA, Flagler County to open ‘Disaster Recovery Center’ at the Fairgrounds Saturday

October 27, 2022 – Flagler County Emergency Management has been working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which will open a "Disaster Recovery Center" on Saturday, October 29, at the Flagler County Fairgrounds, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell. The "center" is a temporary facility constructed by FEMA located near the arena in the center of the fairgrounds property. October 12, 2022 – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may refer survivors of Hurricane Ian to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) with information about how to apply for a disaster loan – including homeowners, renters, business owners, and certain nonprofits. Hurricane Ian hit southwest Florida just barely under a category 5 hurricane. The devastion he left in his wake was catastrophic. Once Hurricane Ian made landfall the speed at which the storm as a whole moved, slowed down considerably.
