Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit is hosting an event this weekend. They will be at Herschel King Park from 10am to 3pm to make sure vessels are ready for the water. They will be performing safety checks as well as providing information on safe boating practices.
The event is open to all boaters whether your a first time boat owner or a seasoned veteran of the open water.
“Vessel safety checks may seem like a hassle, but they can mean the difference between an enjoyable day on the water and a tragic accident,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “As a personal boat owner myself, safe boating is not just a responsibility, it’s a necessity for everyone on board.”
