“This was a busy Super Bowl Weekend for our deputies, said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Thank you to the
deputies who saved several lives this weekend and put criminals behind bars in the Green Roof Inn.”

FCSO responded to 842 calls for service, made 211 traffic stops, and that includes one DUI arrest, and made 12 additional arrests.

A motorcyclist who was driving recklessly on I-95, was arrested on Friday by Deputy Jeckovich. Deputy Jeckovich attempted to make a traffic stop on the motorcycle, because the motorcyclist was weaving dangerously in between lanes. The motorcyclist fled the FCSO, and was ultimately caught. The driver was identified as Brandon Gray. While in FCSO custody, Gray made multiple threats to the deputies including threatening to kill them when he is released.  Gray was arrested and charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Driving with License Suspended with Knowledge, and Making Threats to LEO. He remains in custody on a $76,000 bond.

Friday Deputies responded to multiple calls regarding a suspicious person. When deputies arrived on scene, they found a mentally disabled, nonverbal man, who was lost and very upset. Deputies were eventually able to locate the man’s residence. Upon arrival to the man’s residence, they found the man’s caregiver, who appeared to be quite intoxicated. Deputies investigated further and were able to determine that the caregiver, Jerry Murdock, was not providing adequate care for the mentally disabled male. Murdock was arrested and charged with Neglect of a Disabled Adult. Murdock was already on a pretrial release for Neglect of a  Disabled Adult and was under special conditions. Murdock was not allowed to consume alcohol. He was later relased on a $500 bond.
