Beginning October 1, 2026, rates for water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste services included on the City of Palm Coast’s utility bill will be adjusted.
This letter will accompany the Utility Bills. Rate Increase Insert 10.01.26 Final Version
These adjustments are part of the City’s established rate structure and are not new or unplanned increases. The City’s water and wastewater rates include an annual adjustment outlined in the approved utility rate ordinance and Utility Strategic Plan. The stormwater adjustment is part of a five-year fee schedule established through the City’s 2023 Stormwater Rate Study. Solid waste rates are adjusted in accordance with the City’s residential solid waste agreement with FCC Environmental Services Inc.
Water and wastewater rates will increase by 5.1% effective October 1. The annual adjustment is based on the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) Water and Sewerage Maintenance Services Index.
The monthly stormwater rate will adjust from $36.16 to $38.33 per Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU), an increase of $2.17 per month.
The monthly residential solid waste rate will be $34.37, in accordance with the City’s agreement with FCC Environmental Services Inc.
All four services, water, wastewater, stormwater, and solid waste, are included on the City’s monthly utility bill. The adjustments support the continued operation, maintenance, and long-term planning of the services and infrastructure that serve Palm Coast residents.
All utility customers will receive a notice in their October 1st Utility bill with a complete schedule of updated utility rates. Residents can learn more about the City’s utility projects and long-term infrastructure planning at palmcoast.gov/utility-strategic-plan.

Try raising impact fees on new buildings. And if you cannot because of some state rules, then charge the owners of apartment or condo complexes a surcharge for the added high concentration of usage and waste from a small area of land. Many people living in an apartment complex, (lots of people small land area equals higher water and waste concentrated in a small area) for the strain on our current systems.
Im looking to move to Palm Coast in a few months, can you tell me what I will be paying per month. It probably depends where I move, but just give me an estimate please. Thank you.
Water and severe is way too high here. It is ridiculous. A study needs to be done that onpares ours to others. Try Land O’Lakes for a comparison. (Pasco County)
ABSOLUTELY ridiculous THESE RAISES IN A PLACE U CAN’T EVEN DRINK THE WATER SHAME ON U PALM COAST
As if we dont pay enough already. For water the has black sludge. So you are forced not only to pay outrageous bills you have to buy your drinking as well
I’m new resident in Palm coast and just wondering what is the different between waste water and storm water are we paying a diy rate for each on?
This city needs to STOP draining the citizens, the water bill is already stupid high, yet they just keep spending and bleeding the citizens to fund their recklessness and filling their pockets.
I really don’t understand how people are supposed to survive….everything is increasing except my pay! When is enough – ENOUGH? The “haves’ have little to worry about…how do I spend my millions or billions…and me, how do I afford to pay my 3 HOA’s put food on the table, gas in the car, increased medical insurance, increased mortgage payments….increased everything except how much I’m paid! How in the world is making $19 an hour acceptable in 2026? this feels like the hourly wage from 1985. Yes, I agreed when they offered me employment but it’s because it was the best pay I could find! I am drowning and fear the inevitable; having to sell one of the loves of my life – my home in Palm Coast, FL – because I can no longer afford to live here. I am 65 and still working my rear off because I have no savings and as much as I pray to be able to retire, I can’t.
