Saturday March 9th, 2024 from 9am to 4:30pm, a Ham Radio Festival will take place at the Elks Lodge #2709, on Old Kings Road to Benefit James Lea and his family.

Parthenon

James is former storm chaser, a cameraman for Jim Cantore, and a great asset to both Volusia and Flagler County EOC’s. In 2021 James Lea suffered a terrible medical accident that left him without legs and fingers. Michael Randazzo has worked to put this upcoming event together to help raise money for Lea and his family. Jim has tried to obtain assistance and services from both the federal and state government, with little avail.

Admission for the event will be $20, with limited parking. Food and beverages from the bar at the Elks Lodge will be available for an additional fee.

The event will also consist of lectures, demos and door prizes, and more. Randazzo gives special thanks to HRO, Ham Radio Deluxe, DX Engineering, ABR and others who have donated over $1000 in prizes for attendees to enjoy.
