FB Real Estate Company is a Flagler Beach Company that has a vision for giving back to the community. We sat down with Jordan Farrell to discuss how they got started, what their goals are, and how they plan to impact their local community.

We asked him how they came to acquire the building that they currently own and operate out of. “I’m always keeping a sharp eye on the market here in Flagler County and jumped at the opportunity this building presented. The overall vision wasn’t ironed out for a few months after I started work on the property, but we’re really proud of what we have going now that it has all come together.”

Jordan said this of their current goals for the building/businesses he is apart of, “There are really two different things going on here that benefit one another, or maybe four things I should say. Each of the two upstairs apartments are their own businesses that I hope give vacationers a nice downtown spot to stay in while they visit our town. Sip & Surf brings a lot of life and attraction to our building with its menu offerings and incredible ambiance and I look forward to it cementing itself as a go-to destination in Flagler. And then we have our real estate brokerage which is my big passion project co-owned by Alex Bittner. We have an incredible group of agents who make the brokerage feel like a family and we have expansion plans into Volusia and St. John’s Counties on the horizon.”

Regarding the new Sip & Surf cafe that just opened in the building, we asked how involved Jordan was in the opening of that, “We had been looking for the right coffee shop vendor since starting the building renovations and are thrilled with Sip & Surf and how it turned out. We worked on some of the inside features like the fireplace, flooring and outside patio features as part of the building remodel process but Corey and his team really took off with the inside space and made it beautiful.”

When we asked what Jordan and his team hoped to see the businesses become over the years, he told us, “A lot of our focus is on giving back to the community and also to the on-site vendors; what they need to succeed and also putting a lot of our efforts into the growth of the real estate brokerage so that we can continue to grow our base of agents and expand into other markets.”

We asked Jordan why giving back to the community is so important to him. “We have a lot of passion about this area and really ‘drink the Flagler Kool Aid’ so to speak since we help people move here from outside the area. As part of the commercial and residential community here and having families ourselves  who will be raising our kids here, we want to do what we can to ensure the community feels the love we have for it and grows in a way that’s good for the future generations.”

Giving back to the community is important to many people both residents and businesses alike. We asked Jordan how his businesses currently give back to their local Flagler Beach community. “We have a non-profit side of our business called FB Cares that was formed to funnel resources where needed. Right now we do beach cleanups with our realtors and friends, we chair fundraising events like the Flagler County Margarita Ball that helps provide gifts for the underprivileged children in our area, and we regularly make contributions to fundraising efforts impacting the lives of those in need here in our community,” said Jordan.

How do you wish to impact the community? Jordan told us how they plan to impact the community, “One way we plan on making an impact is through the way we conduct business as a real estate brokerage. We hold ourselves and our realtors to the highest ethical standards and believe in exceeding expectations in everything we do. Hopefully that will translate into more and more families finding the perfect homes so that their love for this area eventually catches up to ours! In a personal way I like to see what the community needs and try to find ways to present it to investors or invest in it myself to make it a reality.”

Jordan told us how he hopes to inspire the community, “Our goal is to put others before ourselves. In our brokerage we put our agents ahead of ourselves as the brokers and train them to put their customers’ needs ahead of their own. The idea is to have that lead the way by example for a mental shift into treating others the way we’d like to be treated by putting their needs ahead of our own.”

We wanted to know how the community inspired Jordan and his team. He told us, “I find Flagler Beach to be an especially ‘plugged in’ community where people go out of their way to help one another and show up. You see that kind of thing all the time when someone gets sick or injured and the whole community rallies to provide care and resources to get them through it. We just want to be part of what is already and incredibly caring community.”
