May 12th, 2023, Highjackers was officially signed over to Jamie Bourdeau and Joe Wright of Quantum Cowboys, LLC.
“Not only are we excited to get the doors back open, we are eager to make this establishment even better than it was before,” said Jamie Bourdeau, owner of Beach Front Grill and Loopers Par and Grille. “We will open the doors to hire more staff and work to get the restaurant to be better than it has ever been.”
May 1st, 2023, Flagler County Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the lease assumption, releasing the current lessee, Flagler Tailwinds. Highjackers opened originally in 2001.
Jamie Bourdeau has been a Flagler resident since 2007 and has been a small business owner for almost 10 years. He has owned and operated Beach Front Grill in Flagler Beach, and just earlier this year he opened Loopers Par and Grille in Palm Coast. Bourdeau is a former police officer and holds annual charity events that benefit veterans, police, fire and first responders.
Joseph Wright is the owner operator of Quantum Electrical Contractors as well as Quantum Air Conditioning, Quantum Auto Repair, Anthony’s Pizza in Palm Coast and St. Augustine. Wright also supports the Palm Coast Little League, the Flagler County Education Foundation, Palm Coast – Flagler Regional Chamber and several churches.
“We are so proud to be part of the Highjackers legacy and continue to provide quality food services in Flagler County.” Said Joseph Wright, “we are looking forward to having all the previous patrons and new visitors come in.”
Currently the plan is to open the doors May 23, 2023 while they begin hiring in the interim. The plan is to close mid – August for two weeks to perform renovations, and open in time for the start of the NFL.
