A Palm Coast man is behind bars after a four-month joint investigation traced files containing child sexual abuse material being uploaded to a cloud storage service back to his home on Beechwood Lane.

Jayson Jankowski, 33, was arrested on June 4, 2026, and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He is being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on a $250,000 bond. Additional charges may follow, pending ongoing forensic analysis.

In February 2026, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit opened the investigation after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline reported files suspected to contain child sexual abuse material being uploaded to a cloud storage service. Through investigative work, detectives traced the uploads to an online account belonging to Jankowski.

The FCSO worked alongside the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force, known as INTERCEPT, throughout the four-month investigation.

The Search Warrant

On June 4, the FCSO Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit, Digital Forensics Unit, and SWAT Team served a search warrant at Jankowski’s Palm Coast residence. Homeland Security Investigations and INTERCEPT Task Force members also assisted.

During the search, the Digital Forensics Unit deployed K-9 Birdie — a specially trained electronic storage detection dog — who located multiple electronic devices suspected to contain child sexual abuse material. Those devices were seized for forensic analysis. Detectives also found evidence directly linking Jankowski to the online account used to upload the material.

While being interviewed by detectives, Jankowski admitted to obtaining images and videos depicting minors and using the material for sexual gratification. When asked why he sought out such material, Jankowski told detectives he enjoyed the “thrill” of it.

“Any pervert who gets a ‘thrill’ from seeing children get sexually abused belongs behind bars, and we are going to do everything we can to make sure that’s where they stay,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We work with our partner law enforcement agencies, Operation Light Shine, and the INTERCEPT Task Force, and others to protect our children. Guys like this can’t hide in their bedrooms and think we won’t catch them.”

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
