I Just Want To Say the Women’s Group celebrates the success of its charitable work at their annual Tea Party Event while planning an expanded scholarship program for minority students
A Palm Coast-based women’s organization has distributed tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships, food, and supplies to Flagler County communities since its founding in July 2022.
One Member of the group talked about how much they love this group, “I was invited by the first friend I made in Palm Coast, she has become my best friend here. I talk about this group everywhere I go, I just love it and what we have accomplished and continue to accomplish.”
I Just Want To Say Women’s Group, INC. (IJWTS) received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation in June 2023, allowing the organization to expand its charitable activities across Palm Coast and Flagler County.
Mission and Growth
They were founded by a diverse group of women whose mission aims to empower, amplify, and celebrate women as well as provide resources to influence decisions in their homes and communities and connect to networks for support within the City of Palm Coast and Flagler County.
Community Accomplishments
The organization has completed numerous charitable projects over the past two years:
Food Distribution:
- Cypress Point Spring Food Drive collected over $2,000 in food
- June 2023 served over 2,000 students in Bunnell, Mondex, and Espanola
- Thanksgiving 2024 distributed 200+ meals in Deland, Bunnell, and Palm Coast
- June 2025 coordinated a summer food drive for Bunnell Elementary School
Donations to Local Organizations:
- Alpha Women’s Center received over $3,000 in baby items
- House of Hope, Inc. received $2,000 in personal hygiene items
- Bereavement support provided through food and financial assistance
- Christmas 2023 delivered $1,000 in goods and funds to Samaritan Inn
- Christmas 2024 donated $1,500 in Christmas gifts to Bunnell Elementary School
School Support:
- Back-to-School program delivered bag packs to Bunnell Elementary School
- In May 2024, they awarded $5,000 in scholarships to Flagler Palm Coast High School students
- April 2025 awarded $10,000 in scholarships to Flagler and Volusia High School students
Fundraising:
- The 2023 Pink Army raised $5,000 for the Judith Macko Center
Future Plans
The group is planning a 2026 Female Entrepreneur Showcase with an ambitious goal of raising $20,000 for scholarships.
It was indicated that the scholarships will target minority high school students with a strong focus on African-American females who will be the first ones in their families to attend college.
The Board and members are enthusiastic about the impact that we will continue to make for women and their families in the cities of Bunnell, Mondex, Espanola, Palm Coast, and beyond.
