Flagler County Sheriff’s Office deputies made 14 arrests over Halloween weekend between 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, and 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. Deputies handled 751 calls for service and made 152 traffic stops.
Three Arrested for Fight, Pulling Guns at Halloween Party
On Sunday, deputies arrested three men following an altercation at Halloween party, which escalated after the suspects pulled guns and fired them.
Early Sunday morning, deputies responded to a reported weapons disturbance at a residence on Robinson Drive in Palm Coast. Deputies arrived and spoke to one of the victims, who stated he was in the garage talking to Braxton Samuels, 22, of Palm Coast, when Samuels said a racial slur and punched him in the face. During the altercation, another partygoer entered the garage, grabbed Samuels, and tackled him to the ground.
One victim told deputies that, while they were on the ground, two more men — later identified as Logan DaSilva, 18, of Palm Coast, and Iain Smith, 22, of Palm Coast — pulled guns and pointed them at himself and the partygoer who intervened. Both victims got off the ground and began to leave, still being held at gunpoint. As the victims got into a vehicle, a gunshot was fired in an unknown direction. One of the victims told deputies he believed DaSilva was the one who fired the shot.
Deputies spoke to Smith, who advised he owns two firearms. Deputies located one firearm in his vehicle and another inside his residence.
Deputies also spoke to Samuels at his residence. While speaking to deputies, Samuels spontaneously stated he also had a firearm, which he pulled and fired a single shot into the ground. Samuels further told deputies DaSilva had also fired a shot into the ground.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies arrested Samuels for battery, improper exhibition of a firearm, and discharging a firearm on residential property; arrested DaSilva for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, improper exhibition of a firearm, and discharging a firearm on residential property; and arrested Smith for two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

“These three idiots turned a fun party into a Halloween nightmare, and I’m thankful nobody was seriously injured or killed as a result of their actions,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “One guy started the fight and the other two escalated it when they threatened the victims with guns. That got them an orange Halloween costume at the Green Roof Inn.”
All three were transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility. Samuels was later released on a $3,000 bond, DaSilva was released on a $15,000 bond, and Smith was released on a $10,000 bond.
Fugitive from Justice Arrested After Wanted Status Uncovered Following Crash
On Sunday, deputies responding to a motorcycle crash arrested a Palm Coast man on multiple charges after he was found to be a fugitive from justice.
Sunday night, deputies responded to a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast. The motorcycle operator, identified as Jaime Carrillo, 42, of Palm Coast, was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
While the ambulance was enroute to the hospital, deputies checked Carrillo’s information in state and national databases and determined he was a fugitive from justice wanted in two states. Carillo had an active arrest warrant in Mississippi since 2024 for a parole violation for dangerous drugs and three warrants in Missouri for failing to appear on original charges of stolen property, harassment, and tampering with a victim.
Deputies contacted Carrillo at the hospital as he was refusing medical treatment and trying to get himself discharged, and they took him into custody without incident.
Deputies arrested Carrillo on his fugitive arrest warrants, as well as operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and operating a motorcycle without a valid motorcycle endorsement. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

“Life comes at you fast, as this guy learned. One second, he was cruising along on his motorcycle, next thing he knows he’s crashed, and then before he knows it, he’s off to the Green Roof Inn, and now he’ll be headed to a couple other states to face justice,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “I commend our team for doing their research, which uncovered he was a fugitive from justice and allowed them to catch him before he checked himself out of the hospital and disappeared again. This multi-state fugitive’s run ended in Flagler County, joining all the others that have come here and got caught!”
