All nine Flagler Schools campuses will offer no-cost breakfast and lunch to every student next year under federal nutrition programs.

Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, every student attending a Flagler County public school will be able to eat breakfast and lunch at no charge, according to an announcement from Flagler Schools.

The free meal program applies to nine schools across the district: Belle Terre Elementary, Bunnell Elementary, Old Kings Elementary, Rymfire Elementary, and Wadsworth Elementary at the elementary level; Buddy Taylor Middle School and Indian Trails Middle School; and Flagler Palm Coast High School and Matanzas High School.

The meals are provided through the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program, both of which are federally funded initiatives managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Families or students with questions about the program can reach out to Flagler County Food and Nutrition Services Director Mike Baker at 386-437-7526 ext. 1155, or by email at bakerm@flaglerschools.com. The office is located at 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Building 2, in Bunnell.

The district also noted that the program is open to all students regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age, in line with federal civil rights law. Program information can be made available in languages other than English, and accommodations such as Braille, large print, audiotape, or American Sign Language are available for those who need them. Individuals needing alternative communication formats can contact the USDA’s TARGET Center at (202) 720-2600.

Anyone who believes they have been discriminated against in connection with the program can file a complaint with the USDA by completing Form AD-3027, available at usda.gov, or by calling (866) 632-9992. Complaints can also be submitted by mail to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, 1400 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, D.C. 20250-9410, or by email at program.intake@usda.gov.
