A Daytona Beach man who was arrested in May 2025 after a multi-agency investigation revealed he had committed a sex act in front of a young child and recorded it has been convicted and sentenced.

Timothy Williams IV, 27, pleaded guilty on June 3, 2026, to lewd or lascivious exhibition. Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols sentenced him to 180 days in jail. Upon release, Williams will be required to register as a sex offender, will serve 10 years of sex offender probation, and is permanently prohibited from having any contact with the child victim. He is currently being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he will serve his sentence.
“Ultimately, ensuring this pervert could never go near this young child again and have the opportunity to do anything else perverted was our main goal in this case,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Anyone who thinks they can victimize a child in Flagler County and get away will find themselves in jail or prison. Another great job by our detectives, partners, and the State Attorney’s Office holding this pervert accountable.”
How the Case Began: An FBI Cyber Tip
The investigation started on May 13, 2025, when the FBI’s Daytona Beach office contacted the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office with a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip originated from the social media platform X and flagged a video that depicted child sexual abuse material involving an adult male and a female child.
The FCSO Cyber Crimes/Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit took the lead on the investigation, working alongside federal Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Northeast Florida Inter-Agency Child Exploitation and Persons Trafficking Task Force, known as INTERCEPT.
During the investigation, detectives obtained eight uploaded videos, each containing child sexual abuse material. Analysis determined that one of the videos was self-produced and had been recorded inside a bathroom at a home within Flagler County. Through investigative work, the adult male in the video was identified as Timothy Williams IV.
Arrest at a Palm Coast Shopping Center
On May 16, 2025 — just three days after the tip was received — detectives obtained an arrest warrant. The FCSO Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit and Special Investigations Unit located Williams in his vehicle at a Target store in Palm Coast and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and later released on a $20,000 bond.
“I want to thank NCMEC and the FBI for providing the tip after discovering a video circulating online,” said Sheriff Staly. “The quick work of our Cyber Crimes Unit, PACE Unit, SIU Unit, federal HSI and the INTERCEPT Task Force helped catch this pervert quickly before he could escalate and seriously hurt a child. Let this be a warning to sex offenders who think they can victimize Flagler County children: we will catch you! You can’t hide behind a keyboard in your sick and perverted world of online child predators.”
