Anna Jones, a Palm Coast resident, has officially qualified for the November 2026 ballot in the Flagler County Commissioner District 4 race after collecting 1,005 verified petition signatures from Flagler County voters — surpassing the required 968 signatures needed to avoid paying a qualifying fee. Jones announced on May 7, 2026.

Jones said she completed the petition drive in approximately three weeks, calling the response from residents a sign of broader community concern. “I’m incredibly grateful to the hundreds of Flagler County neighbors who signed petitions and shared their concerns with me over the past three weeks,” Jones said. “This grassroots effort shows that residents are ready for real change.”
Jones, who moved to Flagler County in 2023, describes herself as a first-time candidate with a background in customer service, genealogy research, cemetery volunteer work, and service as an election poll worker. She said her decision to run stems from what she hears from residents in her daily life. “I’m not a career politician — I’m your neighbor who hears the daily frustrations about explosive growth, traffic nightmares, rising taxes, flooding, and officials who aren’t listening,” she said. “I’m running to bring accountability, transparency, and fiscal responsibility back to county government.”
Her campaign platform centers on property tax relief, managing growth while protecting the environment and quality of life, addressing traffic congestion and infrastructure needs, public safety, and government transparency. “I’m running because Flagler County deserves better,” Jones said. “We can have responsible growth without sacrificing what makes our community special.”
Jones is currently campaigning and meeting with residents across the county.
