The City of Palm Coast’s annual Keep PC Clean event drew dozens of volunteers on April 11, 2026, in a citywide push to tackle a growing littering problem.
Dozens of volunteers spread out across Palm Coast on Saturday, April 11, 2026, for the city’s annual Keep PC Clean event. The cleanup effort, organized by the City of Palm Coast, targeted litter and debris across streets, medians, and other areas throughout the city. While the Palm Coast Public Works Department identified specific areas of concern ahead of the event, volunteers were welcome to clean up any location across the city.
Why the event exists
The City of Palm Coast already employs staff to maintain roads and medians on a regular basis. However, city officials say that littering has increased in recent years, creating a level of waste and debris that city workers alone cannot fully address. The Keep PC Clean initiative was created to fill that gap by bringing community volunteers into the effort and raising awareness about the effects of littering on the city’s environment and appearance.
“Our goal with our Keep PC Clean initiative is to spread awareness and encourage efforts to prevent littering across the city. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful city, and the efforts by both our staff and the volunteers that take part in this initiative are essential to assuring that it stays beautiful.”
