Tuesday Morning, October 17th at 9am, the City of Palm Coast held their third meeting of the month. During the meeting the city heard from the public on a myriad of issues, including residents speaking out against the new developments being voted on, infrastructure and parks.

The City Council also issued multiple proclamations including making October 2023 Disability Employment Awareness Month, Adopt a Dog month, Celebrate Babies Week, Mobility Week, and Temple Beth Shalome 50 Year Celebration month.

The city also heard an update on the Plan our Parks project. The project is nearing the end of the process, and they have put together their first draft of the master plan for the parks. There will be a few more steps before the final version will be submitted to the council to be voted on.

The meeting concluded with public comment and the passing of the agenda minutes. The council and the city manager echoed their sentiments on the emergency personnel and city staff for their outstanding service following the tornado in the B-section last week. Seventeen homes have been damaged and the city manager stated that those 17 homes would have their permit fees for their repairs waived.
