Cedar Bridge Foundation has announced its Walk/Run 4K for Autism and Family Fun Day, scheduled for April 18, 2026, at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach. The event will celebrate Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month while honoring individuals and families navigating autism.
The community-wide celebration aims to bring people together for a day focused on unity, empowerment, and support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

Dr. Maria Dowling, Co-Founder of Cedar Bridge Foundation, explained the organization’s vision for the event. “Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities that empower individuals with unique abilities and strengthen community connections,” Dowling said. “This event is a chance to walk alongside families, advocates, and supporters as we raise awareness and celebrate the incredible strengths within our community.”
Co-Founder Terrie Baker expressed enthusiasm about bringing the community together. “We’re excited to bring families, friends, and supporters together for a day that celebrates abilities and community spirit,” Baker said. “This event is about honoring each person’s journey and creating a place where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.”
The Walk/Run 4K for Autism and Family Fun Day will feature community vendors, arts and crafts, food trucks, and music. The walk and run portion of the event is designed to be welcoming for participants of all ages and abilities.
Cedar Bridge Foundation is inviting local businesses, organizations, and community members to participate in the event as walkers, runners, volunteers, vendors, or sponsors. Organizers say involvement from the community will help make the event impactful for the individuals and families who benefit from the foundation’s year-round programs.
