A new wave of coastal hospitality arrived in Flagler Beach this week with the grand opening of the Compass Hotel by Margaritaville, a 100-room boutique hotel offering oceanfront views, upscale amenities, and the brand’s signature island-inspired ambiance.

The opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local officials, business leaders, and hotel staff. Guests were invited to tour the property following the ceremony, which included walkthroughs of guest rooms, the fitness center, the hotel’s meeting room, and both indoor and outdoor amenities.

“We’re excited to bring the Compass by Margaritaville experience to Flagler Beach,” said Becky Darnell, General Manager of the property. “This hotel is ideal for travelers seeking a relaxing, boutique-style stay in a setting that celebrates the area’s natural beauty and laid-back energy.”

During the guided tour, attendees viewed the spacious guest accommodations featuring contemporary design, plush bedding, and either ocean or town views.

In addition to its inviting guest rooms, the hotel offers a host of amenities, including a complimentary breakfast buffet, a welcome cabana with snacks, and a private outdoor pool with cozy lounge seating designed for beachside relaxation.

On-site dining includes two venues:

  • The Salty Rim Bar & Grill, a poolside eatery featuring coastal fare and tropical cocktails.

  • Chill Bar, a rooftop bar that offers sweeping Atlantic views, fire features, and an array of signature drinks.

The Salty Rim Bar & Grill is currently open, while it will be a few more weeks before the Chill Bar will be open. You do not have to be a guest to eat at the restaurants.

The Compass brand, part of the Margaritaville portfolio, aims to blend upscale comfort with the free-spirited essence of coastal living—a theme that aligns seamlessly with Flagler Beach’s unhurried lifestyle.

Compass Hotel Flagler Beach is now open and accepting reservations. As part of its launch celebration, first-time guests can receive 15% off their stay during the initial opening months.
