The City of Palm Coast is asking residents to share their thoughts on a proposed upgrade to one of the community’s most-used outdoor venues. A public forum has been scheduled to discuss adding a permanent roof structure to The Stage at Town Center.

When and Where

The forum will be held on Monday, March 23, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Palm Coast Community Center. It is open to all residents.

What Will Be Discussed

The event is designed to give the public a clear look at the proposal, explain what the next steps might be if the project moves forward, and provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions and offer feedback. Representatives from Vavarde Strategies will present their plan for the roof structure and explain how they would assist the city in carrying out the project.

Vavarde Strategies is a national team of fundraising and support services professionals. The organization specializes in helping clients develop project scopes, set timelines, establish measurable goals, and provide hands-on assistance for capital and enhancement projects — including fundraising services.

James Hirst, the city’s Parks and Recreation Director, encouraged community members to take part. “We encourage residents to attend and be part of the conversation,” Hirst said. “The Stage at Town Center is an important community asset, and public input is essential as we explore opportunities to enhance its functionality and long-term use.”

Background

The Stage at Town Center is an existing outdoor performance space that the city has identified as a key community gathering point. The proposed roof would be an enhancement aimed at expanding its usability and protecting both performers and audiences from the elements. No vote has been taken on the proposal; the March 23 forum is an informational and input session only.
