Palm Coast residents looking for a way to cool off this spring and summer will not have to wait much longer. The City of Palm Coast has announced that the Splash Pad at James F. Holland Memorial Park will reopen on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., kicking off the warm-weather season at one of the city’s most popular family destinations.
About the Splash Pad
The Splash Pad is an 11,000-square-foot aquatic play area designed to reflect the natural ecosystems found in and around Palm Coast. The facility is divided into two themed zones that draw inspiration from the local environment. The Shore Zone features coastal-themed spray elements including dolphins, an octopus, a right whale, and starfish, and is designed for children of all ages. The Swamp Zone is built specifically for younger children between the ages of 2 and 5 and features local swamp-inspired elements such as lily pads, frogs, cattails, and a yellow-bellied slider turtle.
The splash pad operates on an activator system — children press a button to start the spray sequence, and when the water stops, they simply press it again to continue. The surface throughout the splash pad is made of Life Floor, a certified aquatic play material that is slip-resistant and offers added fall protection compared to standard concrete.
Park Amenities and Surroundings
The splash pad area includes multiple covered picnic pavilions for shade and seating, along with a coquina rock retaining wall that adds a natural aesthetic to the space. The broader James F. Holland Memorial Park also offers a playground, large and small dog parks, and athletic fields. The Palm Coast Historical Society Museum is located within the park and is open on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Hours of Operation
The Splash Pad will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. until sunset. Every Tuesday, the facility will be closed for maintenance until 12:00 p.m. before reopening for the remainder of the day. James F. Holland Memorial Park is located at 18 Florida Park Drive, Palm Coast, FL. More information about city parks and facilities is available at www.palmcoastgov.com.
