The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Gaming Control Commission raided four local businesses on Tuesday as part of a multi-county undercover operation targeting illegal gambling, seizing 20 gaming machines and $16,856.80 in cash.

The operation, dubbed “Reels of Fortune,” was carried out by the FCSO Special Investigations Unit in coordination with the Florida Gaming Control Commission as part of a broader investigation spanning Brevard, Duval, Flagler, and Volusia counties.

The four Flagler County businesses that were served search warrants during the operation were Palm Coast Lanes at 11 Old Kings Road in Palm Coast, 1405 Saloon at 1405 East Moody Boulevard in Bunnell, Ike’s Saloon at 801 South State Street in Bunnell, and Crossroads Tavern at 111 North State Street in Bunnell.

No arrests were made during Tuesday’s raids. The investigation is continuing in partnership with the Florida Gaming Control Commission, and business owners could face fines of up to $10,000 per machine.

“These unregulated machines rarely pay out because they are set for the house to win,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Illegal gambling is not a victimless crime. Often, it fuels other crime and preys on residents who are often elderly and on a limited income in the hopes of a big win.”

Attorney General James Uthmeier signaled that the operation is part of a larger statewide effort. “Unlawful gambling operations often play a role as the financial backing behind criminal networks,” Uthmeier said. “These illegal casinos fuel organized crime, prostitution, and other illicit activities. Florida will see a major statewide crackdown on illegal gaming in 2026. If you’re running an illegal operation, don’t roll the dice; shut it down now.”

Florida Gaming Control Commission Executive Director Alana Zimmer praised the collaboration between agencies. “The Florida Gaming Control Commission is very impressed with this fabulous collaboration with our law enforcement partners during the ‘Reels of Fortune’ operation,” Zimmer said. “With so many agencies coming together, we are amplifying our impressive results. The citizens of Florida are the real winners as more and more illegal casinos are shuttered. Thank you, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, for being a part of this important effort.”
