Hurricane Ian hit southwest Florida just barely under a category 5 hurricane. The devastion he left in his wake was catastrophic. Once Hurricane Ian made landfall the speed at which the storm as a whole moved, slowed down considerably. While this faired in Flagler County's favor for wind, it allowed more time for the rain to dump large masses of water. Rainfall totals for Flagler county varied from 7.36 inches to 14 inches. Tropical Storm Ian Update: Saturday Morning

This morning at 11am, NHC (National Hurricane Center) updated the current path and wind speed probabilities for Tropical Storm Ian. While Flagler County is too far away to make a for sure decision on what kind of weather severity we will see, residents should be watching. The NHC posts updates every six hours. Friday Update on Depression #9 in the Caribbean

Tropical Depression #9 is set to become a tropical storm sometime today or late tonight. It is currently entering the Gulf where the NHC is expecting it to make a turn to Florida. It is still days out, and tracks can make drastic changes. Remember not to panic, and monitor the track and cone as the days go on.
