A Bunnell man is in jail without bond after the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office shut down what they say was a drug operation running out of a travel trailer.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and SWAT team served a narcotics-related search warrant at 2480 County Road 304 in Bunnell early in the morning on January 16. The search warrant was the result of a three-month investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics from a travel trailer parked on the property.

The investigation began after the residence was placed on the Sheriff’s High-Interest Target list. The listing came after a series of tips from nearby residents who reported suspicious activity at the location.

During the search, detectives found and seized methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia, a handgun, and ammunition.

“We received a lot of complaints about drug activity coming out of this trailer, so we put a stop to it and put this poison peddler in jail following an early morning wake up call,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “If you believe there is drug activity in your neighborhood, let us know. We take all tips seriously and want to clean up your neighborhood too. Warning — drug dealers beware: We’re coming for you and your drug house, or, in this case, drug trailer, next.”

Detectives arrested Jeremy Wells, 31, of Bunnell. He faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wells was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Wells is a known offender with previous arrests for possession of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, driving while license suspended, and violation of probation.
