Rainbow Bridge tribute allows residents to honor deceased pets with custom-engraved tags
A new community memorial honoring deceased pets will be unveiled at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, January 17, at Holland Park.
SMART of Flagler Dog Rescue, in partnership with East Coast Animal Hospital and the City of Palm Coast, will host the ceremony for The Rainbow Bridge beginning at 10 a.m. at Holland Park, located at 18 Florida Park Drive N.
The Rainbow Bridge serves as a community tribute where residents can honor pets that have passed away. As part of the project, pet owners can purchase custom-engraved tags bearing their pet’s name to be placed on the bridge, creating a lasting memorial and a place for reflection.
The January 17 event will include an official ribbon cutting and a proclamation from city officials and community leaders. The ceremony will also feature recognition of sponsors and opportunities for attendees to meet teams from SMART of Flagler Dog Rescue and East Coast Animal Hospital. Light refreshments will be provided.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their pets to the event.
