The City of Palm Coast will close most facilities on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, with some locations opening with modified hours on Friday.

Palm Coast City Hall, the Community Center, Palm Harbor Golf Club, Southern Recreation Center, and the Palm Coast Aquatics Center will all be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27.

On Friday, November 28, Palm Harbor Golf Club will reopen for normal operations. The Southern Recreation Center will open with adjusted hours from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All other city facilities will remain closed on Friday.

Normal operating hours for all facilities will resume on Monday, December 1, 2025.

The city announced adjusted schedules for waste and recycling collection during the holiday. Collection services will be suspended on Thursday, November 27. Recycling services originally scheduled for Thursday will be moved to Saturday, November 29.

Residents can find more information about waste collection at palmcoast.gov/public-works/garbage or submit requests through PalmCoast.gov/Connect.

The modified holiday schedule allows city employees to observe Thanksgiving while maintaining some weekend services for residents. The adjusted hours at Southern Recreation Center on Friday provide limited recreation access before full operations resume the following week.

City officials wished all residents a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. The closures and adjusted schedules follow standard practice for local government operations during major holidays, balancing employee time off with community service needs.
