Local specialist offers personalized support for those navigating loss and life changes

The Valley of Vision Grief Coaching will celebrate its official opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at 26 Office Park Drive in Palm Coast. The Professional Women of Flagler County (PWFC) is partnering with founder Iola Burnsed for the event, with the official ribbon cutting scheduled for 9:30 AM.

A Personal Mission

Burnsed, a Grief Recovery Specialist with over 20 years of experience, founded the practice on the principle that grief is not something people simply “get over.” Instead, she views it as a unique journey that requires proper tools and guidance to navigate successfully.

“With the right tools, proper instruction, and an empathetic guide, you can get effective and meaningful help that teaches you how to turn pain into peace, heartbreak into happiness, and grief into gratitude,” Burnsed said.

Her approach stems from personal experience. After enduring significant amounts of grief, pain, and loss herself, Burnsed emerged with a sense of fulfillment and peace that she now wants to share with others.

“In creating The Valley of Vision Grief Coaching, I believe I am answering God’s call to turn my pain into purpose,” she explained.

Services Offered

The practice combines faith-based principles with established grief recovery methods to help clients process various types of loss. Services address not only the death of loved ones but also other significant life changes, including:

  • Broken relationships
  • Pet loss
  • Job loss
  • Other major life transitions

Burnsed emphasizes that while grief is a universal experience, each person’s journey through it remains deeply personal.

“Grief is a universal human experience, yet each person’s journey is deeply personal,” she noted. “My mission is to provide the compassionate guidance and practical tools needed to transform pain into purpose and help others discover hope on the other side of loss.”

The practice operates on an appointment-only basis and offers free initial consultations to help individuals determine if the service is right for them. Sessions provide personalized coaching tailored to each client’s specific situation and needs.

Serving the Community

The Valley of Vision Grief Coaching serves clients throughout Flagler County and the surrounding areas. Burnsed’s faith-based approach sets the practice apart from traditional grief counseling services, offering what she describes as a combination of spiritual support and practical recovery techniques.

The goal is to ensure that no one walks through the difficult valley of loss alone, providing both emotional support and actionable strategies for moving forward.
