By-Line: Charles Gambaro for Congress
Today, the Charles Gambaro for Congress campaign is honored to announce that former Acting Secretary of Defense Christoper Miller has endorsed Republican Gambaro for Congress in Florida’s 6th Congressional District race.
Christoper Miller served as Acting Secretary of Defense in the first Trump administration, at the same time Charles Gambaro was an advisor to the Secretary of Defense and the President.
In his endorsement, Secretary Miller said, “I have seen Charles Gambaro in numerous pressure-filled and life-and-death situations. He’s unflappable. Florida is lucky to have him as a citizen, and America is fortunate that he has decided to continue his service by entering the arena of politics. A man of profound courage, commitment, and high personal and professional standards, Charlie will give voice to those who all too often aren’t heard and selflessly serve the citizens of Florida with integrity, empathy, and fortitude. I am honored and humbled to endorse this great military officer and American.”
“Secretary Miller is a true American hero who has dedicated his life to defending America. I am honored and humbled by his support,” Charles Gambaro said when accepting the endorsement.
“Along with his many countless positions,” Gambaro said, “Chris also served 27 years as an officer in the U.S. Army’s elite Green Berets. I am extremely honored by his endorsement and proud to call him my friend.”
As a Major, Chris Miller was one of the first Special Forces leaders in Afghanistan after 9/11. He also served in the invasion of Iraq in 2003, along with numerous other military deployments worldwide during his service, before retiring from the Army as a Colonel in 2014.
Before becoming Secretary of Defense, Chris was the Special Assistant to the President for Counterterrorism at the National Security Council. He has also served as the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations.
As Special Assistant to the President, he developed the strategy that killed both Qasem Soleimani, leader of the Iranian Quds Force, and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS.
He is currently the Chief Revenue Officer for DZYNE Technologies and is the author of the recently published book, “Soldier-Secretary: Warnings from the Battlefield & the Pentagon about America’s Most Dangerous Enemies.”
