Recently, City Councilman Gambaro released a press release to a select few media outlets, and the press release was also shared on Facebook. In this press release, Gambaro stated his plans to run for a congressional seat, not the City Council District 4 seat in 2026. Below is a letter we received from a member of the public, Brian Singer, who decided to share his response to the news. Below you can read the original letter to the editor we received.
Letter To the Editor – Brian Singer, Flagler County
“Charles Gambaro’s decision to run for Congress is nothing short of audacious. This is a man who was never elected by the people of Palm Coast. He was appointed through a questionable process that bypassed the will of the voters. His very presence on the City Council has been clouded by controversy, legal challenges, and an ever-growing public distrust.
Now, without ever having stood before voters in a single election, he’s aiming for a $174,000.00/year seat in the United States Congress? This isn’t about leadership. It’s about entitlement, money, and greed. Gambaro’s leap from an unelected city council appointment to a federal campaign reeks of political opportunism and self-gratification, not public service.
The voters of Florida’s 6th District deserve better. They deserve someone who has earned their trust, not someone whose political career was launched behind closed doors in some cigar club. Let this service as a reminder: true representation is earned at the ballot box, not handed out
through backroom deals.”
