Flagler Schools proudly announces the release of the 2024-2025 assessment results, showcasing the district’s continued commitment to academic excellence and student growth. These scores reflect the hard work of students, teachers, and staff and demonstrate ongoing progress in learning across the district.
As we continue to strive to be the nation’s premier learning organization, we are excited to share strong performance gains in several key areas. Compared to the 2023-2024 results, many grades and subjects experienced marked improvements.
English Language Arts (ELA)
- The ELA pass rates increased district-wide, with an overall gain of 3 percent (55% to 58%).
- Grade 3 scores increased by 3 percent (61% to 64%), a result of an increased focus in primary literacy over the past few years.
- Grade 7 saw a notable increase, jumping 5 points from 51% in 2023-2024 to 56% in 2024-2025.
- Grade 10 scores improved by 4 points (55% to 59%), highlighting strong performance at the high school level.
Mathematics
- Math showed some substantial growth, also with an overall gain of 3 percent (58% to 61%).
- Grade 3 math showed the most growth of any grade or subject with an impressive 10-point increase, from 60% to 70%.
- Both grade 5 and Geometry scores increased by 5 percent, showing gains in both foundational and advanced math (Grade 5 increased from 55% to 60%; Geometry increased from 60% to 65%).
Science
- Grade 5 science scores increased by 5 points, from 53% to 58%, laying a strong foundation in the early grades.
- Biology saw a 4-point increase (68% to 72%), reflecting success in benchmark-aligned high school science instruction.
Social Studies
- U.S. History scores increased by 4 points, moving from 66% to 70%.
- Civics also saw a 2-point rise, increasing from 69% to 71%.
These results highlight the ongoing efforts of Flagler Schools to support every learner and ensure growth in every classroom. Our district remains focused on data-driven instruction, high-quality learning opportunities, and preparing students for success in school and beyond.
