The City of Palm Coast has once again been honored by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA community, marking an impressive 20 consecutive years of recognition. This milestone reflects the City’s long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible urban forestry.
“Reaching the 20-year milestone as a Tree City USA is more than an honor—it reflects our community’s deep-rooted values and commitment to sustainability, beauty, and quality of life,” said Carol Mini, Urban Forester for the City of Palm Coast. “For two decades, Palm Coast has made the conscious choice to invest in trees—not just as part of our landscape, but as living infrastructure that strengthens neighborhoods, cleans our air, cools our streets, and brings people together.
“To qualify as a Tree City USA, we maintain a tree board, adopt a tree care ordinance, invest in urban forestry, and celebrate Arbor Day. These actions show we’re not just planting trees—we’re building a legacy. As we mark this milestone, we invite residents to celebrate the vital role trees play in shaping a healthier, more resilient community. Let’s keep planting, protecting, and planning for the next 20 years and beyond.”
Tree City USA signage is proudly displayed at 12 locations throughout Palm Coast. These include both directions of Palm Coast Parkway, Belle Terre Parkway, Seminole Woods Boulevard, Old Kings Road, and Royal Palms Parkway, as well as new locations on Matanzas Woods Parkway—one eastbound coming off U.S. 1 and another westbound near Pirates Nation Way.
This milestone not only honors the City’s history of urban forestry but also serves as a reminder of the shared responsibility to preserve and grow Palm Coast’s natural legacy for generations to come.
