Teens in Flight, a flight training program dedicated to empowering youth through aviation education, invites the public to its open house on March 23rd from 10am – 3pm at the organization’s airport hangar located at 275 Old Moody Blvd. at the Flagler Executive Airport in Palm Coast.
Guests will be able to tour the facility, see the airplanes up close, speak to an instructor, and fly the simulator. There will be open house specials on ground school, flights, merchandise and more. The event is open to all ages and parking and admission are free.
“We have students of all ages flying with us,” said Ric Lehman, Executive Director, Teens in Flight. “Pilots enjoy the freedom, challenge and adventure of flying, as well as the personal growth and confidence that it offers,” added Ric.
The Teens-In-Flight program allows teenagers to earn a private pilot’s license at no cost. Students have been placed at Stetson University, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, the U.S. Air Force Academy, United States Naval Academy, West Point, the U.S. Military Academy and more.
