November 3, 2022 – The National Weather Service and Flagler County officials are tracking a storm near the Bahamas that is expected to bring severe weather – high winds, higher tides, and surf – as early as Sunday and continuing well into next week. FEMA, Flagler County to open ‘Disaster Recovery Center’ at the Fairgrounds Saturday

October 27, 2022 – Flagler County Emergency Management has been working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), which will open a "Disaster Recovery Center" on Saturday, October 29, at the Flagler County Fairgrounds, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell. The "center" is a temporary facility constructed by FEMA located near the arena in the center of the fairgrounds property. Hours will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily except for the following days when it will be closed: November 4-5, and November 26. "This is great news. Tropical Depression #9 is set to become a tropical storm sometime today or late tonight. It is currently entering the Gulf where the NHC is expecting it to make a turn to Florida. It is still days out, and tracks can make drastic changes. Remember not to panic, and monitor the track and cone as the days go on.
