Flagler County strategic planning process is full circle – started with staff, now turned over to staff for implementation

December 29, 2022 – Flagler’s strategic planning process has come full circle in one year’s time. County Administrator Heidi Petito kicked off the new process in November 2021 with a day-long collaborative planning session for department heads. Flagler County staff raise $4,500 for ‘Christmas with Community Heroes’

December 6, 2022 – Flagler County staff members are feeling the holiday spirit – they raised $4,500 for Christmas with Community Heroes, an organization that provides a Christmas shopping extravaganza for children who might not otherwise be so fortunate. "I am proud of the generosity our staff shows day in and day out, but I am particularly proud of the money they raised for local children to make their holidays brighter," said County Administrator Heidi Petito. Flagler County Fire Rescue staffed with ‘Hometown Heroes’

November 3, 2022 – Three of Flagler County Fire Rescue's own were honored recently by the Daytona Beach News-Journal as "Hometown Heroes" at its fourth annual gala. Recognition was given to Firefighter-Paramedic Andy Thomas, Lt. Andrew Hardesty, and Lt. Jon Moscowitz – who was additionally named Hometown Hero of the Year.
