Skate park area within Wadsworth Park closed for repair, renovation

Flagler County Parks and Recreation announced Wednesday that the skate park area within Wadsworth Park is closed until further notice for repair and renovation. The remainder of the park is open. “There are some repairs and renovations that we want to make to the skate park area,” said General Services Director Mike Dickson, who oversees Parks and Recreation. “We apologize for the inconvenience.” The park will reopen once the work has been completed.

Efforts on the FEMA emergency dune project is moving to the area of River-to-Sea Preserve, which will cause the park to be closed on weekdays beginning Monday (October 23). The southern half of the parking lot – and the restroom facilities – will be open from 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday evening. Friday October 6th at 6pm, First Friday kicked off with acknowledgements to the vendors and organizations who participated in First Friday. Following that, the organizers spoke a few words about breast cnacer awareness. The Pink Army was represented by Danielle DeSpousa and Denise Fernandez, the Hometown Heroes affiliates. The Flagler Sheriff's Office served two narcotics related warrants on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 for a house at 25 Wood Ash Lane in Palm Coast and 500 N. Central Ave. in Flagler Beach, simultaneously. These warrants were the result of undercover operations conducted by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
