The hearing for the Daniel Waterman case took an unexpected turn today when court officials moved Leigha Mumby’s case up to 1:30pm, breaking from the usual alphabetical order followed in previous proceedings. The case was continued once again, with the next hearing now scheduled for August 19th.
Several people who attended in support of Daniel expressed frustration over the schedule change, with some suggesting it may have been an attempt to clear the courtroom before more supporters could arrive.
Daniel’s family has asked that their appreciation be shared with everyone who showed up or had planned to attend and show support by sharing his story. They say the community’s continued presence means a great deal as the case drags on.
Supporters are already looking ahead to the next court date. A meet up is being planned for after the rally on August 19th, giving people a chance to connect and show up together in a more organized way. More details on the meet up are expected to be shared as the date gets closer.
Flagler County Buzz will continue to follow the case and provide updates as they become available.

This smells fishy to me! Somebody is greasing someone’s palms! They need a whole new judge!
This is absolutely heartbreaking. Leigha has a known past of being abusive and mentally unstable. This should be a slam dunk for the justice system. There is no reason she should be free. Get this drug addict, prostitute murderer off the streets and put her where she belongs behind bars!
Always the victim and their families suffer, so wrong and so so very sad he suffered like that until his last breath!!! What world are we in where this happens? No answers for such hopeless dragging on and his poor family who are left to suffer and pick up their shattered lives! If there is a god – PLEASE HELP THEM AND DO SOMETHING!!! Daniel may you hear our prayers!!! Bless you and your family, may the judge understand you and do something to help you!!!
