The City of Palm Coast has launched a new educational webpage to provide residents with information about a proposed Master Planned Development (MPD) for the Future Planning Area west of U.S. 1 before a series of upcoming public meetings.
According to the city, the webpage is designed to serve as a central source of information about the proposal currently under review. Residents can access maps, planning documents, frequently asked questions, and details about the development review process. The city said the resource is intended to help residents understand the proposal and prepare to participate in public hearings.
“Community participation is an important part of the development review process,” Community Development Director John Zobler said. “We encourage residents to review the available information, attend the public meetings, and share their comments as the proposal moves through the City’s public review process.”
The webpage includes an overview of the proposed planning area and Master Planned Development application, information on proposed land uses and transportation improvements, an explanation of the review and approval process, frequently asked questions, maps, supporting documents, and links to public meeting agendas and livestreams.
The first public meeting on the proposal is scheduled for the Planning and Land Development Regulation Board (PLDRB) meeting on Tuesday, July 15, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Jon Netts Community Wing at Palm Coast City Hall and will also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel. Additional public hearings before the Palm Coast City Council are expected later this summer.
City officials encourage residents to review the available information before the meeting and to participate in the public hearing process by providing comments during the scheduled hearings.
The educational webpage is available on the City of Palm Coast’s website. Residents seeking additional information may contact the city’s Community Development Department by phone at (386) 986-3736 or by email at planningdivision@palmcoastgov.com.
