Jeani Duarte, a Palm Coast community advocate who has become a regular presence at city government meetings, has officially and formally announced her candidacy for Palm Coast City Council District 2.
Duarte’s campaign is centered on five key issues: protecting Palm Coast’s water resources and infrastructure, supporting responsible growth over what she calls overdevelopment, defending the City Charter and voter protections, promoting fiscal accountability and transparency, and restoring public trust through ethical leadership.
“Our city belongs to the people — not special interests, political insiders, or unchecked development,” Duarte said in her announcement. “Residents deserve leadership that listens, protects our resources, respects our Charter, and puts the community first.”
Duarte has been visible at Palm Coast City Council meetings and planning board hearings, where she has spoken publicly on topics including water resources, city budgeting, charter issues, and what she describes as resident rights. Her campaign announcement states that she has built a local reputation through public research and community advocacy on city governance.
“This campaign is about protecting our rights, our homes, our resources, and our future,” Duarte stated. “Palm Coast residents deserve leadership that works for the people — with honesty, consistency, and accountability.”
Her campaign slogan is “Your Voice • Your Home • Your Community,” and she is running under the theme “Protecting Our Rights, Resources, and Future.”
The 2026 Primary Election is scheduled for August 18, 2026, with the General Election to follow on November 3, 2026.
