All seven qualified candidates for the Flagler County School Board have agreed to appear together at a public candidate forum next month, giving voters a chance to hear directly from those seeking seats on the board before the August primary election.
The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Historic Flagler County Courthouse “Vault Room,” located at 200 East Moody Boulevard in Bunnell, across from the Holden House Museum.
The event is hosted by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Flagler County Branch, with assistance from the League of Women Voters of Jacksonville/First Coast (LWVJFC). Both organizations are nonprofit and nonpartisan and do not support or oppose any candidates. The forum is being held solely to give voters the opportunity to hear each candidate’s views.
Rhona DiCamillo, Vice President of the LWVJFC, will serve as moderator. She will pose questions prepared by AAUW Flagler. Each candidate will receive two minutes for an opening statement, two minutes to respond to each question, and one minute for a closing statement.
Space at the venue is limited, and registration is strongly encouraged. Those wishing to attend can confirm their spot by emailing aauwflagler1984@gmail.com. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on the AAUW Flagler Facebook page.
The primary election is scheduled for August 18, with early voting beginning August 8.
