Synergy Senior Fitness is excited to announce the addition of Melissa Mondello to their team as a Zumba Gold instructor. Melissa brings over three decades of expertise and a senior wellness commitment. Melissa’s Zumba Gold classes will be held every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast. These classes are designed for active seniors, offering a modified, enjoyable Zumba experience that promotes health and movement in a fun, supportive environment.
Melissa brings over 34 years of experience in the fitness industry, with a background that includes fitness management and co-ownership of a fitness center. Her extensive work with wellness programs has equipped her with a strong understanding of senior needs. “My experience in fitness management allows me to see the benefits of sponsored wellness programs for seniors,” said Melissa. “Joining Synergy lets me expand on the safe and effective programs that Artie has created, bringing fresh industry formats to the community.”
Melissa’s passion for teaching Zumba Gold lies in its ability to bring joy and inclusivity to fitness. “Zumba Gold is an exercise in disguise,” she explained. “It’s a fantastic way for participants to express themselves, enjoy music, and improve cognitive skills, balance, coordination, heart health, and muscular endurance. The moves are simple and low impact, so anyone can follow along, making it one of my absolute favorite classes to teach.”
With a shared vision for senior wellness, Melissa and Synergy Senior Fitness founder Artie Gardella strive to continue providing engaging and beneficial fitness opportunities to the senior community in Palm Coast. “I’ve always respected Artie’s dedication and expertise in corrective exercise. Joining Synergy allows me to give back to the community I love and support seniors in their fitness journeys. There’s nothing more rewarding than hearing from a class member that you’ve made a difference in their life,” added Melissa.
