CASE UPDATE:
The case has been resolved and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is no longer seeking new information. Detectives have located the source of the blood and determined that nobody was killed or severely injured. The cause of the blood appears to be related to an ATV accident. Nobody was killed or seriously injured.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance with an active investigation following the discovery of human blood at Hidden Trails Park in Daytona North.
On November 11, deputies conducted a security check at the park located at 6108 Mahogany Blvd, where they found a significant amount of blood inside the public restroom. Upon further investigation, deputies confirmed it was human blood. No individuals were found in the area at the time, and there were no immediate leads regarding the source of the blood. Deputies and K-9 searched the surrounding area, but no further evidence or persons of interest were located.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have information about what happened at Hidden Trails Park or who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area on November 11 to contact FCSO or Crime Stoppers.
“We are actively investigating this situation, and any information from the public could be critical to helping us determine what occurred,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “Whatever happened could be just an accident or it could be something more serious. If you know anything or saw something suspicious at Hidden Trails Park in the Mondex on November 11th, please contact us immediately. You might just have the information we need to determine the source of the blood.”
