Suspects Wanted in St. Johns County Caught in Flagler County

On October 6, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FSCO) received a BOLO from the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO) about a suspect wanted for Aggravated Battery, Robbery, and Domestic Battery. SJSCO reported the Nissan Altima was last seen driving south on I95. A Bunnell Police Officer spotted the vehicle on State Road 11 and followed the vehicle until additional officers arrived, and a felony traffic stop was conducted near County Road 304. Two occupants in the car, later identified as Charles Andrews and Wesley Evans, were secured and transported to the Sheriff’s Operations Center for interviews by SJCSO detectives with assistance from FCSO detectives.

After the investigation, SJCSO detectives obtained warrants, and they were transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility (SPHIDF). Evans was arrested for Burglary while Armed, Felony Battery, Criminal Mischief, and Petit Theft. Andrews was arrested for Battery. Evans was transferred to SJCSO, while Andrews is still being held at SPHIDF, awaiting to be transferred to SJCSO.

“If you commit a crime somewhere else, do not come to Flagler County, as our track record proves that you will get caught,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “We work in partnership with our local and nearby agencies. This is how we keep our communities safe and reduce crime while catching criminals together.”

Argument Over a Dog Ends in an Arrest

On October 4, Timothy Glen Clark was drinking and got involved in an argument with the victim at a home in Bunnell. The victim stated she was trying to get her dog back from Clark, who pushed her to the ground and started choking her. The victim was able to fight back, get away from Clark, and lock herself in a bedroom to call the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. Clark then fled in a golf cart and was later found at a friend’s house by deputies. He was arrested for Domestic Battery by Strangulation and Domestic Battery.

“Domestic violence has no place in our community,” added Sheriff Staly. “It takes a bigger person to de-escalate a situation and walk away than to physically attack another human in a fit of anger.”

Clark was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and is being held on a $3,000 bond.
